Hello MEMObers! We hope you had a good and restful week. Quick updates from us for Week 3 regarding our first general meeting, an 85 Degree Bakery Fundraiser (oohhh!) 🍪🍰🍩, our first service event, and an extension to the CARE Scholarship Application!

General Meetings

A quick reminder that our time and location for general meetings have changed since last quarter! They will now be held in Ackerman on Thursdays, 5PM-6PM, of every even week of the quarter.

WHEN: Every other Thursday, 5PM-6PM
WHERE: Ackerman Union (updates on the exact location will be on our Instagram, @ucla_memo)

GM 1 (1/23): Intro + Minigames!

Join us for our first general meeting to bond with other members over minigames as we go over MEMO’s mission and upcoming services for the quarter!

WHEN: 5PM-6PM Thursday, January 23rd

General Updates

Project Angel Food: Sign-Ups

Our first service event of the quarter, Project Angel Food, is coming up! For this event, we will be providing kitchen assistance and preparing meals for individuals facing life-threatening illnesses in the LA County!

Please fill out this form if you are interested in volunteering for Project Angel Food on February 2nd, from 1-4PM (transportation time not accounted for). Transportation will be provided, but do note that we will leave campus around an hour before the event (~12PM).

WHEN: 12PM-5PM, Sunday February 2nd (including transportation time)

WHERE: 922 Vine St, Los Angeles, CA 90038 (OR UCLA if you need a ride)

85 Degree Bakery Fundraiser

We also have our first fundraiser happening this week! We’ll be selling some yummy pastries on Bruinwalk this Wednesday, January 22nd, from 11AM-4PM so come by and buy some in support of MEMO and grub on some scrumptious baked goods!

16G Vietnam Mission Trip

Finally, the CARE Scholarship Application Deadline has been extended to Tuesday, January 21st, 11:59 PM! Click here to apply to the Scholarship Program if you haven’t already!
