💫 Week 7: Updates 💫

Good evening MEMObers! We hope last week’s Alumni Panel gave everyone a helpful insight into the medical school journey. And shout out to our volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club, who successfully executed a lesson plan on educating youth about dental hygiene last Friday!

To wrap up Fall quarter, MEMO’s final general meeting will be a Study Jam to relieve school stress, where we’ll be making SLIME and BRACELETS! We also have an upcoming volunteer event around the corner, so make sure to sign up below if you have not already!

Participating in these events is a great opportunity to gain volunteer experience, socialize, and/or fulfill active membership requirements for this quarter. You can review the active membership requirements and benefits here.

Week 8— GM 5: Study Jam: RSVP

Debrief and take a break from the stress of midterms/finals at MEMO’s study jam for some bracelet-making, slime-tastic fun! This will be our final general meeting of the quarter, so stop by and get craftsy with us!

WHEN: 6PM-7PM Thursday, November 21st
WHERE: Kerckhoff Hall, Room 131, 133, 135

Project Angel Food is an organization that provides medically-tailored meals to individuals facing life-threatening illnesses within the LA county. Volunteers will be providing assistance in the kitchen, preparing meals for the critically ill.

Week 6 Recap

GM 4: MEMO Alumni x Med School Panel

Thank you to Kat and Cat for sharing their experiences as Med school students and applicants! We hope everyone learned something new from the panel.

Boys and Girls Club Outreach Event

The outcome of the Boys and Girls Club event was great! All the students were engaged with the material and our hands-on food activity, where they got to create a healthy mouth. Thank you to all our volunteers, who worked hard on formulating and conducting the lesson plan on dental hygiene!
