Hello beautiful MEMObers! Wishing everyone the best of luck on their midterms as we head deeper into midterms season 💪 Read this newsletter to learn about some of the exciting updates and service events we have for this week!

Active Membership Requirements

1. Attend 3 out of 5 general meetings (every quarter)

2. Attend at least 1 outreach/ service event

3. Attend at least 1 social/ fundraiser

4. Pay a $10 Club Membership Fee. This includes a free MEMO T-shirt that could be worn to events!

5. (RECOMMENDED): Attend nonprofit/ inter-chapter events

If you haven’t already, make sure to fill out this form if you would like to be an active MEMOber! Applications are open year-round, but the earlier you join, the earlier you can volunteer with us <3

We created a new GroupMe for the 2025-26 academic year. We encourage you all to join to gain access to important MEMO updates or ask any questions you may have!

General Meetings for Spring Quarter will take place on EVEN weeks, from 6-7pm @ MS 5147.

Porto’s Fundraiser 🥐 

Craving Porto’s pastries but not able to drive to a nearby location? Worry no more as MEMO has your back 😁🫶 We will be selling super yummy cheese rolls, guava rolls, and potato balls at our next fundraiser during Week 6!

Shifts will be available for volunteers to sign-up as well, link could be found HERE.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 6th, from 11am-4pm
WHERE: BruinWalk (check our insta @ucla_memo on the day of for the specific location!)

Upcoming Service Events 💌 

UCLA MEMO x Claris Health Volunteering

We will be partnering with Claris Health for volunteers to get involved in a cause aiming to build a stronger LA community by providing accessible, inclusive care that honors the unique needs of each person. Take part in caring for individuals and their families before, during, and after pregnancy and sexual-health choices!

Some volunteers roles include assisting at their mobile clinic, volunteering at the baby store makeover, becoming an Every Mother’s Advocate (EMA), assembling hygiene kits for their mobile patients, or volunteering for a parenting family event.

If interested in participating, please fill out the interest form HERE.

The volunteer info night will be on May 7th at 7pm. More info can be found in the Google Form linked above!

Wealth by Health Free Clinic

We will be working with Wealth By Health to volunteer at their Health Free Clinic on Sunday, May 24th, from 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM AND for set-up Saturday, May 23rd (Time TBA). You must attend BOTH the set-up and event to volunteer.

Wealth by Health's free health clinic program provides free medical, dental, and vision services to the community. Services include teeth cleaning, filling extraction, internal medicine, cardiology, eye exams, prescription eyeglasses, acupuncture, and acupressure.

MEMObers will be serving as general volunteers, where we will help with various tasks including patient registration, patient escorting, and clinic flow management throughout the vaccine sites and health clinic. Mandarin and/or Cantonese speakers will be prioritized for patient-facing roles.

WHERE: Rosemead Community Recreation Center (Transportation will be provided!)

UCLA x USC MEMO Hygiene Kit Making Event

Join us for a hygiene kit making event & social with USC MEMO! It would be a great chance to meet other MEMObers while contributing to a great cause 🙂 Kits will be donated to a local wellness fair aimed towards the homeless population in Little Tokyo. Transportation will be provided but spots are limited, so sign up ASAP!
