Hello beautiful MEMObers! I hope everyone finished their first round of midterms strong and if not, I wish the best of luck to those with some left 💪 We will be having our GM this week, so continue to read this newsletter to see our upcoming plans and events!
Active Membership Requirements
Attend 3 out of 5 general meetings (every quarter)
Attend at least 1 outreach/ service event
Attend at least 1 social/ fundraiser
Pay a $10 Club Membership Fee. This includes a free MEMO T-shirt that could be worn to events!
(RECOMMENDED): Attend nonprofit/ inter-chapter events
If you haven’t already, make sure to fill out this form if you would like to be an active MEMOber! Applications are open year-round, but the earlier you join, the earlier you can volunteer with us <3

We created a new GroupMe for the 2025-26 academic year. We encourage you all to join to gain access to important MEMO updates or ask any questions you may have!
GM #3 — 17G Craft Workshop 🎨🧑🎨
Looking for a fun crafting activity to channel your inner childhood? Join us for our very first 17G craft workshop, where we will be making Shrinky Dink Keychains to gift to the children at this summer’s 17G Vietnam Mission Trip! This will be an amazing opportunity to design a keychain that will bring joy to the children we serve abroad. If you’re feeling crafty, don’t hesitate to join us for the fun at this week’s GM! |  |

Porto’s Fundraiser 🥐 POSTPONED TO WK 8!
Craving Porto’s pastries but not able to drive to a nearby location? Worry no more as MEMO has your back 😁🫶 We will be selling super yummy cheese rolls, guava rolls, and potato balls at our next fundraiser!
Shifts will be available for volunteers to sign-up as well, link could be found HERE.
**NOTE: The Porto’s Fundraiser has been moved to Thursday of Week 8
WHEN: Thursday, May 21st, from 11am-4pm
WHERE: BruinWalk (check our insta @ucla_memo on the day of for the specific location!)
Upcoming Service Events 💌
UCLA MEMO x Claris Health Volunteering
We will be partnering with Claris Health for volunteers to get involved in a cause aiming to build a stronger LA community by providing accessible, inclusive care that honors the unique needs of each person. Take part in caring for individuals and their families before, during, and after pregnancy and sexual-health choices!
Some volunteers roles include assisting at their mobile clinic, volunteering at the baby store makeover, becoming an Every Mother’s Advocate (EMA), assembling hygiene kits for their mobile patients, or volunteering for a parenting family event.
If interested in participating, please fill out the interest form HERE.
The volunteer info night will be on May 7th at 7pm. More info can be found in the Google Form linked above!
RECAP: UCLA x USC MEMO Hygiene Kit Making Event
Thanks to everyone who joined us for our hygiene kit making event & social with USC MEMO! We hope you all had a good time and got to meet other MEMObers while contributing to a great cause 🙂 The kits made will be donated to a local wellness fair aimed towards the homeless population in Little Tokyo! |  |
