Happy Week 8 MEMObers! Can you believe we are already at the last few weeks of the quarter? 🙉 We have lots of exciting events planned so read more for additional details!
Active Membership Requirements
Attend 3 out of 5 general meetings
Attend at least 1 outreach/ service event
Attend at least 1 social/ fundraiser
Pay a $10 Club Membership Fee. This includes a free MEMO T-shirt that could be worn to events!
(RECOMMENDED): Attend nonprofit/ inter-chapter events

We created a new GroupMe for the 2025-26 academic year. We encourage you all to join to gain access to important MEMO updates or ask any questions you may have!
General Meetings ⭐️
Mark your calendars! MEMO general meetings start Week 2 and will take place on Thursdays, 5-6PM, every even week of the quarter. To further expand your skills and healthcare knowledge, we will be having interactive hands-on workshops, guest speakers, and more throughout the year!
WHEN: Thursday @ 5PM-6PM (even weeks)
WHERE: Ackerman Union Viewpoint Conference Rooms 1&2 (located on A-level of Ackerman Student Union)

NEXT: GM #4 — Getting Research Experience (+ Big & Little Reveal !!)
Not sure how to get research experience as a UCLA student? Worry no more, as we will be having an informative workshop where some of our MEMO board members will share about their own research experiences!
Our Big & Little Reveal will also be taking place, so don’t miss it if you want to find out who your bigs are 👀

85 Degrees Bakery Fundraiser 🍞
Craving for some freshly baked asian-style bread? Come purchase and enjoy a sweet treat from 85 degrees bakery in support of MEMO at our fundraiser this Friday!
We will also be opening shifts for general members to volunteer (& fulfill the fundraiser requirement!) You can sign up HERE.

Fall Inter-Chapter Social (ICS) 🍁
The leaves are falling and temperatures are dropping… meaning it’s officially sweater weather! Get ready for a fun-filled day of activities and MEMOries where you will be hanging out with fellow MEMObers from our sister chapters (UCI, UCSD, USC) 🫶 Ready to discover new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, or even meet our Board of Directors (BOD)? Upcoming Service Events 🏥
MEMO x Feast of Gratitude
Hungry for another clinical volunteer opportunity? Join MEMO at Feast of Gratitude to provide free glucose and cholesterol screenings for the underserved community. 🍽️ This annual event is a heartwarming celebration of community and compassion that provides free services to those experiencing homelessness and financial hardship. Project Awaken
Join us in hosting fun & interactive arts and crafts activities with Project Awaken! Project Awaken is a program to promote personal connections with senior residents. Every month, MEMO volunteers will lead an hour-long arts and crafts project with the residents at Mom and Dad’s House locations. MEMObers can personally interact with isolated residents to provide social interactions and create meaningful connections. Sign-ups can be found HERE. RECAP: Health Education Workshop at Westwood Transitional Village
This past week, we taught about the importance of Nutrition to the kids at Westwood Transitional Village and played an activity with them! Thank you to everyone who volunteered with us!
